![]() My Second Publication in Giuseppina Magazine Halloween Edition makes me feel amazing. It feels so great to get my art out into the world. I again worked with two of my amazing friends; October and Elea. Unfortunately for this shoot October couldn't make it to location with us, but as always Elea was great in assisting me. With all my images October and Elea help create my vision, and understand what I want, well at least half the time. First thing for this shoot, I picked up our Model Brittney McLean and headed over to October's house for hair and makeup, after a few hours of getting everything perfect, and a lot of girl talk we sadly had to leave October behind and get to our location. It was just a short drive over to Crain Park in Guelph, ON. We parked and started our little trail walk into the Forest. We found the spot where we use to attend small forest gatherings, and started to set up. It was a bit chilly so after Brittney was in Wardrobe we made sure she stayed warm with her house coat and UGS. We start shooting and everything is going well, she's climbing trees, and working it, but of course my flash stops working. I'm in a panic, the lovely Elea walks all the way back to the car to get batteries and matches for me. Still the flash is barely working, so a lot of the photos for this series were done in natural light, just because the flash was so troublesome, (which was actually the trigger system, not the flash thank goodness). Brittney still kept it together for me, wasn't impatient, remained very professional, and did amazing. Elea got our fire going, for warmth, and for some beautiful photos that are not included in this publication. When it started raining, we just worked through it, luckily the forest provided some cover. We did have enough time to do some shots of her covered in blood. Which are beautiful, I love covering women in blood. Brittney is such a good sport, naked covered in blood in the forest. Some bikers and trail walkers even stumbled upon us, but at least she was more covered at that time. Sadly, to get the blood off of her, she had to go in the freezing cold river, which I took full advantage of photo wise. We packed everything up, after she was bundled and headed back to the car. We had to carry out the giant Deer skull (courtesy of actress Erin Stewart, who is the sweetest women in the world, Seriously not kidding), lighting equipment, a cloak, accessories and camera gear, it wasn't to bad, but we were all pretty tired. It was such a great shoot, and one that I am very proud of, and it got printed, which is an amazing feeling. I love who I work with, and get to work with. When it comes to Boudoir or Creative, or Horror, I have a blast. My work makes me feel great, from personal growth and accomplishments, as well as making someone else feel amazing, and beautiful. Another sad note, that was the last shoot with Elea for a while, she moved back to Quebec. So, another hunt for a stylist. She will be missed greatly, my weird little frog. :) This issue can be purchased online at: http://www.magcloud.com/browse/issue/641562 Can't wait to do more. Cheers lovelies Breila
